These two treatments are often compared and sometimes even considered almost identical. Yet mesotherapy and biorevitalisation differ in the products used, the intensity of their effect and the length of the treatment course.
Mesotherapy is usually the gentler treatment. It uses meso-cocktails which, depending on the product, may contain hyaluronic acid, amino acids, vitamins, peptides and other active ingredients.
It is particularly suitable for younger skin when the goal is to improve hydration, tone, freshness and overall skin quality. Because the products and their effect are milder, a larger number of sessions per course is usually needed to achieve the desired result.
Biorevitalisation works more intensively and more deeply. Its main task is not only to improve the look of the skin on the surface, but to create a longer-lasting improvement in skin quality.
Biorevitalisation products usually contain a higher concentration of hyaluronic acid, and modern formulas may also include amino acids, peptides, antioxidants or other active components.
The treatment is better suited to cases of pronounced dehydration, loss of elasticity and firmness, fine lines or age-related changes in skin quality. The number of sessions per course is usually smaller than with classic mesotherapy, although the exact protocol always depends on the chosen product and the condition of the skin.
It is not that one treatment is better than the other. They simply have different tasks and indications.
For younger skin without pronounced age-related changes, mesotherapy is often quite enough. If more intensive hydration, a more pronounced skin revitalisation and work with existing changes in skin quality are needed, the choice will more often be biorevitalisation.
And most importantly — a treatment should never be chosen by its name alone. The product, its composition and concentration, the injection technique and correctly chosen indications determine the result we get.
How many sessions are needed?
Mesotherapy usually needs more (4–6 sessions), biorevitalisation fewer (2–3). The exact number depends on the product and your skin condition.
Is it painful?
A numbing cream is applied before the treatment (included in the price for facial treatments), so discomfort is minimal.
How long is the recovery?
Slight redness and papules at the injection points usually disappear within 1–2 days. Avoid sauna, sport and make-up for the first 24 hours.
